LJ Cason decided to wait to have his ACL surgery so he could celebrate a National Title run with his boys. Hard to question that decision with the outcome, but I will. Months of recovery are like gold when it comes to an ACL rehabilitation. I 100% understand his decision but I wish he had gotten the surgery right away because of this news:
LJ is already working on shooting and ball handling after his surgery just a few short months ago. That is incredible news and very happy for him. His goal is to clearly make it back for part of next season. I hope he does it!
- More good news on this Wednesday: Former Michigan WR Tarik Black who spent the last few months playing in the UFL signed with the Lions. Black caught 40 passes for 507 yards and 2 TD's for Louisville in the UFL.
- Ready to feel really old: Michigan has offered Mario Manningham's and Marcus Ray's sons.
- In the not so good news category: 5-star WR Dakota Guerrant picked Oregon over the Wolverines and others last night. There is always a chance with NIL $$$ in play. When Michigan does an official visit they should have them tour the construction of the Open AI/Oracle Datacenter in Saline. 😀

Bring on the vitriol: but until Michigan can prove it can have a high octane passing offense, not sure why any highly regarded WR would come to Michigan. Even with BU, the passing offense last year was pedestrian and we've all heard rumblings that maybe....possibly.....could be....BU ain't that great?
In the beginning, someone said that was too much money to gamble on Underwood because it was no sure thing. (was it you?). they had mentioned that it was better to invest in one or two proven quarterbacks. I wish the best for Underwood, but the NIL might have been a better choice. Time will tell, happy hunting to Underwood.

If ... blocking is significantly better... a dedicated QB coach irons out some wrinkles... a year of experience has sunk in... and the new regime plays to BU's skill set... then I expect there to be a synergistic effect. We shall see.
