I'm not sure I understand Michigan's LB recruiting the last few years. Michigan has had some real talent at this position via recruiting and the portal. Michigan has even taken a LB and turned him into an NFL RB. So what is the issue? My guess is $$$$ and Michigan is investing in other positions over LB.
The latest news is Michigan has landed a commit from Georgia LB named Brayden "Tank" Watson who is 6'3 200 pound 3 star LB. He is the 57th LB and 84th player in GA to 24/7. He ranks 505th player on 24/7 Composite.
Tank's rankings might not jump out to you but he had decent offers. Including: BC, Syracuse, Oregon, USC, Pitt, Vandy, Miss State and more.
Welcome Tank, I hope your the next great Michigan LB! Your name alone fits Michigan Football! 😃
- Eric Weddle who is a former NFL Safety and Utah player, who also has a son looking for a school, saw Bryce in practice and wasn't impressed. Ok Eric, thanks for the motivation for Bryce this summer.
- Max Miles has left Michigan as a committed recruit for Minnesota, so he can row a boat and probably make a couple extra bucks.
- We know Coach Whitt likes to go fast as he enjoyed his lap in an Indy Car at the Detroit Grand Prix.

Be an interesting year for BU! 2nd year under a 2nd coaching staff. Am I overstating things, or to me is this a make it or break it season? The clown show known as the Barnum & Sherone Moore Circus didn't do him any favors. What scares me a bit is sometimes these kids develop bad habits that first year that they never can shake!! Things like footwork and internal clock that haunt them for the rest of their careers! I think I've made my feelings known: NIL is best spent in the portal and not on HS kids. At least in the TP you have a fairly good idea what you getting. Maybe a lower ceiling, but also a higher floor. HS? Yeah the ceiling can be extremely high, but the floor can be a trap door!
Let MN overpay for Miles. In a year or two he'll be in the TP and playing for someone else. MN is a glorified MAC school and the MAC is just a development network for Power 4 schools. Again....Don't overpay for HS players!
