Michigan Friday: Says Hello Again and Hello for the First Time

With Dusty gone to Dallas, Michigan's 2026-27 roster is a bit up in the air.  McKenney said he is back and now Cadeau is back as well.  That takes care of the starting guards, now we need the big men to re-commit!

The newest Hello is 2027 4-star LB Frederrick Ford (that is not a mistype he has an extra r in his first name) from Mississippi.  Fred is 6'4 203 pounds and had offers from the likes of Ole Miss, Miss State, FSU, Tenn,  LSU, Cincy, and others.  Getting players out of Mississippi is no easy task!  Welcome Fred, I hope your built Ford tough! 😀

  • 2027 4 star DB Marcus Jones will make his decision today between UM, UNC, UT, and Ole Miss.
  • Me just venting for a second.  I don't understand Baseball owners giving guys 15 year contracts and I don't understand NBA owners continue to pay guys with big names that are always hurt and rarely play.  If I'm the Pistons I have no interest at all in Kawhi.  The last time he was healthy Steve Fisher was his head coach.

Problem for the Pistons is in the NBA you need stars to win. Cade Cunningham and a bunch of misfits is not going to get it done. The regular season was cute, but the playoffs are where guys earn their keep. You saw how Duren faded. The problem is, when Duren and Thompson are on the floor, you have 2 guys that are no threat offensively. Pistons BADLY needed a second scorer and 34 year old Uncle T wasn't it! Say what you wish about Kawhi, he's a legit NBA player.

Now does he want to play in Detroit? that's a negative ghost rider....he's said as much. if he's traded to the Pistons, he won't sign an extension. but that could be the least of his worries. the league has said they'll block any trade until they investigate accusations that he and the Clippers circumvented the salary cap by paying him a (wink, wink) endorsement deal!

I think it is pretty clear that the Pistons need a scoring wing now that they have invested in a first round point guard Okorie. That guy is Isaiah Joe from OKC. Isaiah Joe and Duncan [who played decent defense in the playoffs] will provide the sniping to keep Cunningham clean, while Okorie does the playmaking when Cunningham is on the bench. Now they sign back Harris and Duren, [I won't expect another poop out by Duren next year].. Is it good enough? We will see.

Joe is a slightly better version of DR. He's a more consistent from deep, but is also a liability on D like DR. If Langdon can upgrade the roster more, but it costs the Pistons DR....Seeyah Duncan!

you're putting a lot of faith in a 19 year old. Most 19 years drafted at the top of the draft struggle to contribute, let alone in the late teens.

I don't want TH back unless its on a vet minimum. If he wants a full mid-level...then SEEYAH! If Uncle T wants to give the Pistons a discount to stay with Cade...cool...but at 34 his best days are way behind him. He left before for more money and how'd that work out for him!

Duren? I'm not giving him a max deal. he wants to take $30Mish per year...sure....but I'm not giving him a $40M+ per year contract, sorry he can't create his own shot and all the opposition had to do in the playoffs is sag down in the paint and he was neutralized! And until he can develop a 10-12 ft jumper on a consistent basis, yeah I expect him to crap his diaper every playoffs!
