That seems like a long way away, but there is no rest for coaches on the recruiting trail for Football or Basketball and Michigan was busy recruiting this class yesterday:
Coach B hosted 2016 prospect TJ Leaf yesterday: "Michigan likes to run a point guard, a center and then three players who are versatile and can create," he said. "The coaches have brought up Glenn Robinson to me a couple times before as far as a comparison, but nothing too specific. They say I'm a perfect fit for the offense and I agree. I really like that about Michigan and I also really like the fact that Coach Beilein is under contract there until the 2019-2020 season. I don't have to worry about him not potentially being there if I was to play there."
"Michigan would be definitely near or at the top after an offer, provided I get one," he said. "I really like what they bring to the table. I like their offense and how it fits me. I can see them as a program that I could play for right away and one that would give me an opportunity to eventually move on to bigger and better things."
Coach Beilein doesn't give out offers until June 15th after their sophomore year. It's a policy that he has recommended to the NCAA and one he follows himself. So the 15th is the earliest TJ could get an offer from Michigan.
On the football side of things, Coach Nuss offered a 2016 QB yesterday in Dwayne Haskins Jr.. He is a 6'1 185 pound QB from Maryland who already has a ton of offers from major programs.
- Richard Ash will play his final year of football at Western Michigan. Good Luck to him!
- Nik Stauskas is now #11 on Chad Ford's ESPN Draft Board. He continues to impress scouts and they really like his ball handling. Some are talking about him playing a little point guard at the next level.
