Stupid Football Never Wins

Michigan might have played its best game on Saturday and lost.  The reason they lost, they play stupid football.   Let me count the ways

  • Zeke Berry doing that is just incredibly stupid
  • Michigan turned the ball over in red zone 2 times.  Michigan should of had a comfortable 9 point lead the entire game.
  • A huge mistake on the kick off return
  • Why wasn't the entire defense in the end zone on that play?
  • Michigan dominated the entire game and at the same time was playing Iowa's game
  • I think the Bryce INT was on Marsh
  • I think that hands to the face by Trey Pierce was the wrong call (so I don't consider that a stupid play)

My only concern about hiring Coach Whitt was just this.  His Utah teams were good but never great and he always lost big games.  There are very few head coaches that can take a team to great.  I sure hope Coach Whitt has one career run left in him.  Because this was a comedy of errors today and probably Bryce's best game as a Michigan QB.

I truly can't process that last sentence.

If you are a Michigan fan, you knew the Wolverines were in trouble when the out of bounds tip play happened.   You knew this was going to be some type of Iowa strange win and it was.

Somedays you get beat by a better team and some days you beat yourself.  Michigan clearly beat itself today.   Many we say this win by Iowa is Karma and maybe it was.  I just know this team continues to do stupid things at the worst moments.

BTW: Oklahoma and WMU got blown out today.

Ok. PSA for those who are offended easily. STOP READING NOW!

Now that I warned you. First Hill against OU and now Berry in this game. Its fucking stupid football and its fucking selfish. Grow the fuck up!

And enough with the GD illegal formation, 4 players in the backfield. How many fucking times we get to endure that this GD season? and who's at fault? Bryce! Your damn QB has to see that and be screaming, hey asshole you're lined up wrong.

Bryce.....Bryce, Bryce, Bryce. ENOUGH! Enough with the coddling. Enough with the holding back. Either he's about the hype or he's a bust. Its obvious this coaching staff does not trust him NOT to make a mistake at key times. Sure they'll let him cook early, or if we're behind....but in the lead....late? oh fuck no. they get all conservative and only let him run the ball. STOP! Just Stop! take the fucking training wheels off, throw him in the deep end and if he sinks, he sinks. what they are doing isn't fair to him and its not fair to the fans.

For those of you that made it this far.....YEAH I'M PISSED! I'm pissed I gave up 3+ hours of my Saturday to watch this ......this ASS! the sad part is I think the D can be very good if they can stop with all the stupid fucking penalties. but the offense....man I don't know. I mean I've seen this kind of play calling before, but not with a guy that's been given SO MUCH hype! Usually when a staff calls plays like this...EVERYONE knows the QB just isn't any good!

That escalated quickly chowman.

I do think Bryce had a pretty good game today. I have been very critical of him and will continue to be. In my opinion it should go with being paid huge sums of money to preform. I’m definitely not sold on Bryce and would like to see Carr be given more opportunities.

To defeat a team so soundly all day and lose is a reflection of poor coaching in my opinion.

To have a team that is heavily penalized also poor coaching.

To have a team that lacks discipline also poor coaching.

This one is on Whitt in my opinion.

Tough loss that never should have gotten close to happening.

I can't argue...I haven't been impressed with Whitt at all! To me I wonder if he's just collecting a check at this point. I think his OC and DC are pretty good...but he's the CEO and he needs to hold everyone's feet to fire.

And Goose, Bryce did make some good throws....but that's not where he struggles. he struggles with that 4" between his ears. Unfortunately for him, he came into the season with the football acumen of an 8th grade QB. Physically he's gifted, but at this level its more than just physical. its why teams can win with less physically gifted QBs when the guys just know how to play the game.

Yesterday was a rough watch. its not entertaining football. sure the D is fun, but the O is offensive.....they actually moved the again what may turn out to be an overrated Iowa D, but they moved the ball. But then Bryce threw that pick near the end zone and the staff went all ultraconservative with the lead.
