I'm not sure I've seen anything like what I just witnessed. I've seen Michigan not show up against App. State and RR got beat by Akron but I'm not sure what just happened tonight.
Michigan got beat today by Western Michigan in every aspect of the game. Coaching, execution, running, passing, special teams. It was a complete disaster after the first drive.
One of the things I worried about with Coach Whitt is his teams did not win big games. Well, this team was not prepared at all. Maybe it was the not hitting in camp, maybe they don't understand how to be Michigan Football Coaches. For Fuck sakes, they lined up 12 guys on offense on one play.
The play calling was awful, the penalties were excessive, there was no execution at all.
They are scared to have Bryce throw the ball and Western sat on the run all night. Yes, they are a good experienced team but please, that was one of the ugliest games I've ever seen.
Michigan loses the game without giving up a TD. What the hell did I just watch?
The offensive line was terrible
The coaching was nowhere to be found
The defense after a good first half, got pounded by basic high school football plays
Got killed in the turnover margin 3-0
Marsh struggled in the punt return
Marshall had zero holes all night
Huge mistake by Coach Whitt not to go for the 4th down at the start of the 2nd half.
I'm sick of night games, I'm sick of watching this program go backwards, I'm sick of coaches not understanding Michigan Football. This program is in a fucking tailspin and it makes me sick to my stomach.
A complete disaster and the only ones to blame is themselves.
Edit: I thought the game was over and I'm in complete shock they won. I might need to call a doctor. :)

I believe in God now because he heard me bellyaching and allowed a Hail-Mary to be caught. A victory is a victory > they got something to build on now .... leaving other comments I made stand because I made them and won't hide from them.
I don't think they were coached right over fall camp no tackling, the tackling was horrible. They got pushed around badly by a Mac team. I thought the team was stronger they didn't look it. Bryce Underwood looked terrible. He doesn't read defenses right looks right at the receiver he's going to throw too which draws thw defense to the receiver. I don't see any development in him. They were outplayed and lucky to win .
Bryce underwood is a bust in my opinion. Next man up ( that can read a defense & throw a catchable ball)
So what I had been led to believe coming out of camp was true: Bryce sucks! He can't read defenses. If the receiver is wide open, single covered, double covered or if the marching band is on him, Bryce is throwing him the ball. BU predetermines where he's going with the ball. what's worse is he locks his eyes on the receiver so the opposition knows where he's throwing the ball. he could of easily had 4 or 5 picks.
The OL looked like crap. now OLs can make QBs look better than they are, and QBs can make OLs look better. The fact that WMU didn't respect BU means WMU was selling out to stop the run. That being said, I'm not impressed with the OL in the least
I expected more discipline from a Kyle Whittingham team. Too many penalties for a team coached by an established guy. I wasn't enamored with the hire. I'm not hiring a 66 yo coach who didn't due much with NIL and TP in his last spot in the age of NIL/TP. Utah moved on for a reason. oh someone will challenge me and say he stepped down on his own. Yeah, Utah gave him the courtesy to save face. they were moving on from KW one way or the other. To me, and Bob will agree with me. Another piss poor job done by Warde Manuel, i.e. the Staples AD as he just pushes the easy button every time. Warde hires names or even worse hires from within. Either way, outside of Dusty May, he's effed up just about every hire he's made
Yeah, I'd expect Tommy Carr to see the field in the 2nd half of the OU game. Belleville is one of those overrated programs in HS football here in Michigan. BU was a big fish in a little pond in most games in HS. Now where the competition has leveled the playing field, you can see he doesn't know how to mentally process the game.
Scotty....Scotty? I give the defense a B+, maybe would of been an A- but the offense forced them to be on the field way to long. The offense? F....Coaching? F! First too much undisciplined play. too many penalties! Outside of the first drive the play calling was ass. Is that because Bryce just can't process and adapt on the fly? Next week will be interesting. if the O comes out and marches the ball again on the opening drive and then shuts down the rest of the game it'll show you that Bryce can handled the opening "scripted" possession, but once the opposition adjusts, he has no ability to adapt on the fly. BU looks to me like another QB with all the raw physical tools except the most important one: between his ears!
Ron, its worse. yes he locks eyes on his primary, but he also has predetermined where he's going with the ball before the snap. Last night on another site, I put the over/under on getting a receiver injured this season at 1.5. Now that might be moot when TC takes over.
Unless I researched it wrong, Akron "almost" beat Michigan but lost 28-24 ..... which is kind of like a loss. I always thought RR got a raw deal, but his shenanigans exhibited coaching Arizona made me question his mental state.
Coaches do that kind of crap > BUT IF YOU WANT TO WIN START Tommy..... do not dig a hole than try to fill it .... applies to all of life situations.
