With Basketball bringing home the Natty and Football in between Spring Ball and Fall Camp, there isn't much to report on around these parts, until the Athletic Department investigation completes with the expectation that it either econerates Warde or walks him out.
Both Basketball and Football are still recruiting. Basketball in the portal and Football across the US. Looks like Juke is either going Pro or to Rocky Top. So he is out of the mix.
Still Coach Whitt and his staff are doing work to catch up on the 2027 class. They landed a local big fish this weekend in Jakari Lipsey a 4-star OT from KZoo. Jakari is a pure athlete and a bit raw for OT right now but has a huge upside. He is 6'5 290 and a 3 sport athlete in high school (Football, Basketball, and Track).
His upside is clear as he is closer to his cellar then his ceiling at this point. Many programs agreed and he had offers from the likes of LSU, UCLA, BC, Auburn, UNC, Tenn, Minnesota, MSU and many more.
With Jim Harding in the Maize and Blue and considered the top OL coach in the country, I think its a perfect fit! Welcome Big Man!

- I've been a fan of Duncan Robinson for a long time, I did not know about his brother's struggles until an ESPN report this weekend. Duncan had a very poor National Championship game and now I know why, his brother went missing on that Final 4 trip. Its a sad story and one that reminds us how important mental health is.
- Cadeau and Trey Donaldson were not invited to the NBA Combine but the G-League Combine. With a good performance they can get into the NBA combine, but probably a sign that Cadeau has a high percentage chance of returning to A2.

Salary cap YES! But how do you enforce it. it's back to square one when they were chasing rumors in the 70's and 80's about cars and payments. And don't forget cheeseburger gate. Millions and millions of dollars floating around now and NCAA was OCD"D on a couple of cheeseburgers.
How quickly things can develop. Jamahl Mosley was fired as the Magic coach and Dusty has been mentioned in a few articles as a possible replacement- I hope Dusty focuses on the task at hand because the NBA is a brutal overlord and Orlando has given up three first round picks chasing this year's dream. Are we waiting on Rez and lost Juke while waiting? Let's make that a package with retaining Dusty and win another championship- get out the check book. And we do have another player as possible portal addition in case the emergency glass needs to be broken. That's Hamad Mousa who is a Juke clone.
yeah, if you want to go tin foil hat, could it be why Dusty HASN'T signed his contract yet. Look I'll say the same thing I say about the TP. Put name out there and if Orlando wants to pay you stupid money...then best of luck. The issue with the NBA is the inmates run the asylum. Its definitely a players league. Moseley was a dead man walking win lose or draw against the Pistons. Maybe if the Magic somehow made it to the Finals, maybe the ECF, he keeps his job....MAYBE. His players HATED him. So if I was giving Dusty any advice, if you take the NBA's money, make sure you get a large premium like Monty Williams. The bad thing with college sports is the TP...the good thing about college sports is the TP. Problem with the NBA is you can be a perennial lottery team, but if you don't get one of the top two picks...its a crap shoot. As for free agency its pretty much South Beach or bust. Orlando is basically is the armpit of FL. only ahead of Jacksonville!
