If Koy was not coaching QB's at Michigan, what would he be doing?
- A bartender in an old west salon?
- A deputy that works with the Sherriff to hunt down Billy the Kid?
- A work hand on the Yellowstone Ranch that is taken to the "train station" early in an episode?
- A long reliever for the KC Royals in the 70's?

When I first heard the name Koy Detmer, jr., I was immediately taken back to his dad Koy Sr., who played pro ball for a minute in Philly. Then I was reminded of his uncle Ty Detmer who won the Heisman Trophy back in 1990 and played pro ball. Both were Quarterbacks. Ty was the better player but they both really understood the position. I have no doubt that Koy Jr. has the pedigree to be a knowledgeable QB coach and is probably the reason why Whittingham chose him to be his QB coach. This was a great hire for Michigan. In spite of the mustache (or should I say because of the mustache) junior may be a tough son of a gun. IMHO!!!
