Michigan Monday: Recruiting Information

  • Update:  Ty Isaac is expected to be in Ann Arbor on Tuesday with his Mom and Dad.

  • Michigan is outside of Mike Weber's top 3, which includes MSU, Wisconsin and OSU.

  • Urban Meyer is an interesting football coach.  He is a really good recruiter and a pretty darn good football coach, but you wouldn't buy a used car from him.  He feels like the John Calipari of college football.     He is a good coach but there is something about him you really don't trust is on the up and up.  Part of Urban's strategy is to negative recruit against his biggest rival.    Reports are he put it on pretty heavy on the Wolverines this weekend to some of Michigan's top targets.    I guess Michigan can put an end to that talk by winning more football games, including one against that team down south.   The reports are that Damien Harris enjoyed the weekend and might now might be leaning towards OSU over Michigan.

  • Darrin Kirkland wins LB MVP at the Nike event in Columbus this weekend, he also earned an invite to Nike's Opening next month.

  • So Jon Horford transfers to Florida and UF's President doesn't care for the rule"If they really wanted to transfer somewhere else, they should sit out a year,” Machen said Friday at the SEC spring meetings. “Why didn't Horford stay at Michigan another year? Because he had a free pass." -- Go to grad school at Michigan," Machen said. "They have some pretty good grad schools. … It’s really just a way for a school to fill a void at the very last minute, or a player going to get more playing time without having to sit out.” Welcome to Gainesville Jon!
