Texas Tech? I get wanting to go to another good defensive school but TT? There defense is a joke like all the Big-12. I think Graves knew he wouldn't start until his junior year with Martin and Campbell fillint DT and NT for the next 2-3 years.
I agree, strange choice. Sounds like being closer to home had something to do with it.
