First off Scott Bell wins the Internet last night:
If you had told me a month ago that Morez Johnson would be playing for Dusty May in 2026-2027, I’d be doing cartwheels.

I'm not mad at Dusty for making more money, I'm just still in shock. It just doesn't seem real. I'm more in shock of him leaving for Dallas, then I was in the team winning the National Championship. Which feels like a very strange emotion to me.
Dusty pulled one superstar and two bench players out of the portal this time last year and turned them into National Champions and now NBA Draft Lottery picks.
Morez Johnson Jr. who was 50/50 on returning to Michigan gets picked #9 and is the first Wolverine off the board. He also gets to reunite with Dusty as Michigan Mavs. With Dusty being in role only hours, I can only imagine the Mavs must have had Rez on the board for some time.
Then as predicted by everyone even after the UConn win, Yaz goes to Golden State at #11 to play with Curry. Here is a little tip, watch out for Draymond he is known for sucker punching former Wolverines.
Then Mara is picked right after at #12 to OKC, where this might be a clear sign of the end of Chet's time in Oklahoma City.
What a night for the former Wolverines! Yes, even Dusty. It still hurts coach.
- The NFL said "no thanks" to Sorsby and has pretty much blocked him from playing football next year. They will not have a Supplemental Draft this year.
- Former Wolverine Tarris Reed Jr. also goes in Round 1 to the Spurs at 26.
- Michigan OL coach Jim Harding had the line over for a pool party. Check out the size of incoming Freshman Lee! (second from the left)
